We create cinematic stories for moments that matter.
Career pivots, founder journeys, and legacy projects.
The keynote, the launch.
The moments where what you say—and how you say it—is the difference between your story landing… or getting lost.
Our signature:
a True Story, a narrative deck designed to feel more like a film
than a presentation.
Built on real reporting.
Crafted for emotional impact.
“As a creative director and serial entrepreneur for 30 years, I thought I’d seen everything when it comes to presenting work. Scott’s story deck was something completely new, incredibly fresh, and above all, convincing. Based on his ability to tell a story, we’ve hired him again and again to craft critical stories for us and our clients.”
— Dave Schwartz, Chief Vision Officer | Anonymous Philanthropy

"How do you put into words something people have to experience to understand? That's always been the challenge with RISE. We'd never found anyone who could get it right — until Scott. He gave us a voice. He captured the spirit of what we’ve built without losing the soul of it."
— Dan Hill, Founder | RISE Festival
How it works
It starts with a conversation… several, actually.
We approach every project like a piece of investigative journalism. We talk about the story you want to share, and why. We get clear on your goals, then develop a strategy to achieve them. (The best material usually surfaces in the second or third session.)
Through deep research and dialogue, we find the throughline and shape the narrative arc. Once you love what you see, we go to work designing an immersive visual world around it, using cinematic imagery, archival photos and videos, press, animations, graphics… whatever serves the story.
You bring the raw material. We turn it into a True Story that captures attention in a way that no ordinary presentation ever could.
Every True Story is built from scratch.
Human crafted.
One of one.
The Studio
Scott Keneally
Narrative Lead
Scott is the architect of every True Story. His features and investigations have appeared in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, and Men's Journal. His investigative cover story for Outside inspired a 60 Minutes Sports segment. His feature documentary Rise of the Sufferfests spent a year on the iTunes Documentary Charts. He brings decades of storytelling mastery to every project he touches.
Liv Combe
Content Design
Liv has spent a decade shaping stories across editorial, brand, and product — from AFAR magazine to Huckberry to the @instagram account, where she interviewed nearly 800 people. She spent five years as a Senior Content Strategist at NerdWallet before joining Google Gemini as a UX Content Designer. At True Story, she's our secret weapon for clarity and flow.
Pete Longworth
Cinematic Vision
Pete is a world-class photographer and visual storyteller who has spent his career helping global leaders—including Simon Sinek and the Obamas—show up with an authentic grace that cuts through the noise. On our most ambitious projects, he ensures the visual world we build is as cinematic as the story itself.
Jana Wilder
Strategic Counsel
Jana is an advisor and the former CEO for Simon Sinek’s organization. Today she’s a coach, consultant, and facilitator who helps leaders and teams navigate change. At True Story, she's the executive stress test on our highest-stakes narratives, ensuring every story holds up in the rooms it's built for.
Investment
True Story projects range in price — from $5000 to $20,000+ — depending on scope and complexity.
The Deliverable: a 25-100+ slide custom presentation built for narrative flow, emotional impact, and visual punch. Designed to work whether you're presenting live or sending it ahead.
For milestone projects that call for deeper strategic or creative support, we offer expanded scopes featuring executive counsel from Jana Wilder or photography/cinematography from Pete Longworth.
We take on a limited number of projects each quarter, ensuring every story receives the attention it deserves. Timeline: 3-6 weeks from kickoff to delivery.
